- Express UPS shipping fee is $20.00 and is for domestic shipping only. UPS cannot deliver to P.O. boxes. Requests must be received by 12:00 p.m. for same-day processing for express shipping.
How long does it take to process a transcript request?
- The electronic transcript will be processed within 24 hours. Processing times may be longer during peak periods and near U.S. holidays.
- Paper/physical transcript process time is 1-2 business days from the receipt of your request, plus USPS delivery time. Processing times may be longer during peak periods and near U.S. holidays.
What do I need to do if the recipient never received my transcript?
If your transcript was not delivered due to our office error, we will gladly provide a replacement at no additional cost. However, we cannot accept responsibility for non-delivery if the address provided to us is either incomplete or incorrect, nor can we accept responsibility for timely delivery by the U.S. Post Office or any other mail carrier vendor. Another transcript request would need to be submitted to process a new request.
Why was my transcript not issued after I submitted my request?
- Insufficient or inaccurate identification information.
- Invalid email provided for delivery of an electronic transcript.
How can I view my unofficial transcript?
- Current students may access an unofficial transcript in their My Missouri State .
- Former students do not have access to the unofficial transcript and will need to order the official transcript for a copy.
How can I include my Educator ID for DESE on my transcript?
Attach a document (Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF) during the ordering process that lists your name and educator ID and we will include it with your transcript.

What is an Electronic Transcript (eTranscript)?
- It is a secure, digitally signed PDF of your official Missouri State University transcript.
- The eTranscript has an additional first page that provides information regarding the document itself.
- The eTranscript is downloaded from a secure Web site as a PDF document.
- The eTranscript is protected by an electronic signature.
- The electronic signature guarantees that the document was sent from the Missouri State University Registrar's office and the document has not been altered.
Is an eTranscript different from traditional printed transcripts?
- The content of the transcripts is identical.
- The eTranscript has an additional first page that provides information regarding the document itself.
Is the eTranscript official?
- Yes, it is an official document from Missouri State University.
- The content of the transcript is identical to a printed transcript.
- The electronic signature of the University Registrar appears on the transcript.
What are the advantages of the electronic delivery of my transcript?
- The requestor is notified when the recipient received the official transcript.
- Delivery is significantly faster than paper transcript requests.
- More reliable than surface mailing.
- No additional fees resulting from overnight mailing.
- More organizations are insisting on electronic documents and are not willing to accept paper documents.
How do I know if the university or organization will accept an eTranscript?
It is your responsibility to verify that the recipient will accept delivery of an electronic PDF transcript.

- Your eTranscript can be downloaded for up to thirty days after it is originally sent. If the recipient does not download your transcript within these 30 days, please contact our office to resend your eTranscript. There is no charge for resending your transcript, one time only, if it has not been opened.
- After 30 days, your eTranscript will no longer be available for download. You will have to place another order.
- You can download your transcript 3 separate times.
- After download, the eTranscript can be accessed indefinitely.
- Due to the quick processing time for eTranscripts, we are unable to grant refunds for eTranscript orders that have been opened. Do I need any special software or configuration on my computer?
- You may use any Web browser (be sure to have the most recent version).
Are there any students who may not request this service?
Students enrolled prior to Fall of 1985 may only request paper transcripts since these records are located on microfilm.
I provided the wrong e-mail address for the recipient. Can I correct this mistake?
If the email address was a valid address and if the transcript was delivered and opened, you will need to make a new transcript request. The regular fee will be charged again. If the transcript has not been opened, we can resend it to the correct address at no additional charge.

Why have I received email messages from MSU with an electronic transcript?
The Missouri State University student identified on the transcript has authorized Missouri State University's registrar's office to send you their official transcript electronically.
How do I retrieve the electronic transcript?
- The first email will contain a link to the Document Delivery Service Web site.
- The second email will contain the passcode. Input the passcode into the Document Delivery Service Web site.
How long do I have to retrieve the electronic transcript?

Can I bookmark the website to save a step as I receive additional electronic transcripts?
- No. The Web site link is unique for each specific electronic transcript.
- Bookmarking the URL will result in an error message if you attempt to retrieve a different transcript.
I successfully retrieved the document and saved it on my desktop, but I cannot open it again.
